Fear Is How We Got Here
Fear is the reason everyone did what they did during the pandemic. It was fear of infection, fear of death, fear of being fired, fear of being sued, fear of change and fear of loss. Far too often fear is the decider of a decision when fear should actually be irrelevant. Danger is real. Fear is imaginary. It clouds judgement. Fear makes people panic. It makes people shortsighted with unsteady hands. Fear is why sheep are scared of the sheep dogs. Always be weary and question the intentions of people who hide behind “the greater good.” Be wary of people who hide behind “good.” I often find that what is best for the individual is best for society. Sometimes the only rational reaction in the face of moral dilemma should be to ask yourself “is this good for me?”
Is It Good For Me?
Is it good for me that the government controls what I put in my body? How about freely giving out my medical information, my sexual or religious orientation? Is it good for me to assume that authority has my best interests at heart? What about being stuck at one job for 20 years so scared to lose it that I become a slave to it and will do anything and inject anything to keep it because I fear change and personal growth? Is it good for me to feel that I deserve to get to a point in life where tenureship means I can’t be fired? Is it good to rest on my laurels? No. All these things contributed to the plandemic. None of these things are good. Predictable people are easy to enslave.
The Childish Voter
The modern age was ripe for the coddled western psychology consumed with safety and ‘properness.’ We have forgotten just how messy and savage nature can be. The greatest monsters are those you have learned to trust. The greatest monsters have all the credentials. And why is that? …because we fear having to use our own judgment. We fear having to use our own logic. We fear responsibility if we are wrong and we want to be told what to do so that we are not responsible. Sheep crave to be dominated and for this they will be first to the slaughter. I don’t know about you but I don’t want to be sheepish. Freedom is scary and more dangerous but also far more secure because it is more empowering.
“Those who would give up essential liberty to purchase a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety.”
― Benjamin Franklin
